The Nomad Highlands are located east of Revelwood and the Low Meadowlands. You'll need Flame Level 4 to safely traverse the Dangerous Shroud here. It's recommended to enter from the Low Meadowlands, pathing through the Pillars of Creation to find new items and Vukrah enemies. The majority of the lower Highlands are Shrouded, so staying above ground initially is key. This biome is primarily for Craftspeople quests, unlocking new base constructions, and gathering materials for the next Flame Level.
Key resources to gather in Nomad Highlands for Flame Level 4-5:
- Mint Mushroom Chunks: Looted from green-tinted mushrooms in the Shroud.
- Ammonia Glands: Obtained from evil mushroom enemies or tall mushroom trees in the Shroud.
- Tin Ore: Found in the northwest mineshaft or the Umbral Hollow shrouded area.
- Fossilized Bone: Mined from large skeleton remains around Umbral Hollow or the Ancient Tower.
- Fell Monstrosity Head: Dropped by the boss enemy found west of the Ancient Tower or in the Elixir Well in Umbral Hollow.
- Rooibos: A thin green bush with yellow flowers found throughout the Highlands.
Explore the Umbral Hollow for Craftsperson items and a large source of Tin Ore. The Ancient Tower in the north-central part of the map is also a crucial fast travel point to activate.
