Venturing into the vast and dangerous world of Enshrouded is key to survival and progression. Mastering exploration will unlock new resources, crafting recipes, and powerful gear. Here are some essential tips to help you discover the secrets of this land:
Navigating the Shroud
The Shroud is a treacherous, mist-filled area that drains your health over time. However, it also contains valuable resources and unique enemies.
- Craft a Glider: Early on, prioritize crafting a Glider. This allows for vertical traversal and can help you escape dangerous situations or reach otherwise inaccessible areas.
- Manage Shroud Timer: Keep an eye on your Shroud timer. Look for Shroud Pylons (glowing obelisks) which act as temporary safe zones and refill your timer. Destroying them can sometimes yield valuable loot.
- Seek Higher Ground: Before descending into dense Shroud areas, find a high vantage point to survey the landscape. This can help you spot resource nodes, enemy encampments, and potential escape routes.
- Follow the Light: Often, glowing flora or ancient ruins will hint at hidden paths or points of interest within the Shroud.
Resource Gathering Strategies
Every biome offers unique resources crucial for crafting and survival.
- Prioritize Tools: Upgrade your tools, such as the Stone Axe and Stone Pickaxe, as soon as possible. This significantly speeds up resource gathering and allows you to harvest tougher materials like Copper Ore.
- Identify Biomes: Different biomes yield different resources. For example, the starting area is rich in wood and stone, while later biomes offer metals like Tin Ore and Iron Ore.
- Mark Your Finds: Use your map to mark locations of rare resource nodes, such as Amber deposits or specific herb patches.
- Loot Everything: Break down all breakable objects, from crates and barrels to fallen trees and rocks. You never know what useful items or crafting components you might find.
Uncovering Points of Interest

- Follow Roads and Paths: While off-roading can lead to discoveries, established roads and paths often lead to settlements, quest givers, or important landmarks.
Combat and Survival
