Storage and inventory management are crucial in Tarkov.
- Tactical Rigs: Worn on your chest, provide quick access to magazines, grenades, and small items. Some rigs also offer armor protection (armored rigs).
- Backpacks: Provide additional storage space for loot. Come in various sizes, from small (e.g., Scav Backpack) to very large (e.g., Attack 2, T-70). Larger backpacks make you more visible and slower.
- Secure Containers: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Epsilon, Kappa. These special containers protect items placed inside them from being lost on death. They have limited slots. Only quest items and certain valuable items can be placed in them during a raid.
Choose rigs and backpacks appropriate for your raid's purpose. For quest runs, a smaller backpack might be sufficient. For loot runs, a larger one is better. Always put your most valuable items (keys, quest items, high-value loot) into your secure container if possible.
