Night Raids and Thermal Imaging

Learn to master Escape from Tarkov's night raids using PNV-10T Night Vision Devices or T-7 thermal scopes to track heat signatures in darkness.

Night raids offer a different tactical experience, often with fewer players but increased danger from AI and Cultists. Night vision devices (NVDs) and thermal scopes are game-changers.

  • Night Vision Devices (NVDs): PNV-10T, GPNVG-18, PVS-14. Allow you to see in near-total darkness. They have a distinct green tint and can be disorienting.
  • Thermal Scopes: T-7, FLIR. Highlight heat signatures, making players and Scavs stand out. Extremely powerful but very expensive and have limited range.
  • Flashlights: Can be used to blind enemies at close range, but also give away your position.
  • Stealth: Night raids are ideal for stealthy gameplay. Move slowly and avoid open areas.

Be aware that other players will also be using NVDs or thermals. Don't assume you're invisible. Night raids are excellent for completing specific quests or hunting bosses like the Cultists.
