Winning firefights in Tarkov requires more than just good aim. It's about positioning, timing, and decision-making.
- First Shot Advantage: If you see an enemy first, take a moment to line up a headshot or a good burst. Don't immediately spray.
- Flanking: If an enemy is pinned, try to flank them. Never push directly into a fortified position.
- Grenade Usage: Use grenades to flush enemies out of cover, suppress them, or deny an area.
- Disengagement: Knowing when to disengage is as important as knowing when to fight. If you're outnumbered, outgunned, or heavily injured, break contact and reposition.
- Healing in Cover: Always heal behind hard cover. Never heal in the open.
- Pushing Advantage: If you down an enemy, consider pushing their teammates while they are disoriented or healing.
Every engagement is a learning experience. Analyze your wins and losses to refine your tactics.
