During the 'The Ritual' quest in Aurora, you'll face waves of Shadow Creatures while protecting Kalin. This is more of a horde encounter than a traditional boss fight, but it requires careful management.
Phases:
- Wave 1: Smaller, faster Shadow Creatures.
- Wave 2: Larger, more durable Shadow Creatures, sometimes with ranged attacks.
- Wave 3: A mix of both, often including a larger 'Shadow Brute' type enemy.
Weaknesses:
- Light-based Attacks: If you have any weapons or spells with light properties, they are highly effective.
- Area-of-Effect Magic: Spells like Fireball, Lightning, or Ice Storm are excellent for clearing groups.
- Melee Flourishes: Can quickly dispatch multiple weaker enemies.
Strategy:
Prioritize protecting Kalin; if she falls, the ritual fails. Stay close to her and use area-of-effect attacks to thin out the waves. Don't let yourself get surrounded. Dodge frequently and use health potions when your health drops. The Shadow Brute should be your primary target when it appears.
