Post-Game Content

Congratulations, Monarch! You've saved Albion from the Crawler, but your journey as ruler is far from over. Fable III offers a wealth of activities and challenges to undertake after the credits roll, allowing you to solidify your legacy, explore every nook and cranny, and truly become the hero (or villain) you were meant to be.

Completing Unfinished Business

Many quests and collectibles can be revisited or started after the main story concludes. This is the perfect time to tie up loose ends and achieve 100% completion.

Side Quests

If you rushed through the main campaign, numerous side quests are likely waiting for your attention. These range from humorous fetch quests to more involved storylines that flesh out Albion's inhabitants and lore.

  • Location: Check your quest log for any outstanding missions. Speak to villagers in Brightwall Village, Bowerstone Market, Mourningwood, and Aurora to discover new opportunities.
  • Notable Examples:
    • "Gnomes Are Evil!": Hunt down all 50 mischievous gnomes scattered across Albion. Each gnome destroyed grants you Guild Seals and contributes to the "Gnome Annihilator" achievement.
    • "The Pen is Mightier": Help the Brightwall Academy librarian recover lost books.
    • "Bored to Death": Assist a ghost in Mourningwood with his existential crisis.

Collectibles

Albion is brimming with hidden treasures and items to collect. Dedicate time to tracking down every last one.

  • Silver Keys: There are 50 Silver Keys to find, each unlocking a Silver Chest containing valuable items, weapons, or expressions. Refer to a comprehensive Silver Key guide for exact locations.
  • Gargoyles: Destroy all 50 taunting Gargoyles. Each one you shatter rewards you with Guild Seals and contributes to the "Gargoyle Gobbler" achievement. Many are hidden in plain sight or require specific vantage points.
  • Auroran Flowers: In the desert region of Aurora, seek out the 10 glowing Auroran Flowers. These are often found off the beaten path and can be tricky to spot.
  • Books: Collect all books for the Brightwall Academy. Some are found in chests, others are purchased from vendors, and many are rewards for completing quests.
  • Legendary Weapons: There are several unique Legendary Weapons with special properties to discover. Many are found in Silver Chests or as rewards for specific quests.

Managing Your Kingdom

As the Monarch, your decisions during the main story have consequences that continue to play out. Post-game is your chance to truly shape Albion.

Economy and Property

Your treasury will continue to fluctuate based on your policies and property investments. If you're short on gold, consider these strategies:

  • Buy and Rent Properties: Purchase every available house and business in Albion. Set rent to "High" for maximum profit, but be aware that this can negatively impact your alignment. Setting rent to "Low" will improve your alignment but reduce income.
  • Renovate Properties: Upgrading properties increases their value and rental income.
  • Sell Excess Items: Clear out your inventory of unwanted weapons, clothing, and potions at vendors.
  • Work Jobs: While less efficient than property management, jobs like Blacksmithing, Lute Playing, and Pie Making can still provide a steady income stream.

Moral Choices and Alignment

Your alignment (Good or Evil) can still be influenced by your actions. Continue to make choices that reflect the type of ruler you wish to be.

  • Good Deeds: Help citizens with their problems, donate to the treasury, set fair prices for goods, and complete quests that benefit the people.
  • Evil Deeds: Increase taxes, commit crimes, and make selfish decisions.

Exploring New Areas and Challenges

Beyond the main story, there are specific areas and challenges designed for post-game exploration.

The Sanctuary

Your Sanctuary remains your hub for managing your inventory, expressions, and interacting with your faithful butler, Jasper. Take time to organize your weapons, clothing, and potions.

The Road to Rule

Even after becoming Monarch, you can still unlock new chests on the Road to Rule using Guild Seals. These chests contain powerful spells, expressions, and upgrades that can further enhance your character.

The Demon Doors

If you haven't opened all of them yet, the Demon Doors offer unique challenges and often reward you with valuable items or access to hidden areas. Each door has a specific requirement to open it.

  • Location: Demon Doors are scattered across Albion. Check your map for their locations.
  • Strategy: The requirements vary widely, from wearing specific clothing to performing certain expressions or having a high enough renown. Experiment with different actions in front of each door.

The Shifting Sands (DLC)

If you own the "Understone Quest Pack" DLC, the Shifting Sands area becomes accessible. This new desert region offers additional quests, enemies, and a unique storyline.

  • Access: After installing the DLC, a new quest will appear in your log, guiding you to the Shifting Sands.
  • Content: Expect new combat challenges, puzzles, and opportunities to earn more Guild Seals and gold.

Co-op Play

Fable III's co-op mode allows you to explore Albion with a friend, even after completing the main story. This can be a fun way to tackle side quests, earn gold, or simply explore the world together.

  • How to Join: Invite a friend to your game or join theirs through the Xbox Live menu.
  • Benefits: Share gold, items, and even get married in-game! Some achievements are also easier to obtain with a partner.
