For personal defense and offensive clearing, your engineer has several tools. The Submachine Gun is a good all-rounder. Shotguns are excellent for close-range Biter swarms. The Flamethrower is devastating against large groups.
Vehicles like the Car and Tank offer mobility and firepower. The Tank, especially with Cannon Shells, is highly effective for clearing large Biter nests and absorbing damage.
