Thin Ice: The Cracking Floor

Detailed guide for Thin Ice in Fall Guys, covering strategies for tile conservation, strategic falls, and outlasting opponents on cracking ice.

The Frigid Test of Footwork

Objective: Be the last bean standing on a multi-layered platform of cracking ice tiles.

Phase 1: Initial Spacing & Tile Conservation: Similar to Hex-A-Gone, but tiles break after two steps. At the start, spread out and try to create your own isolated paths. Running is generally better than jumping to conserve tiles, as each jump counts as a step. Avoid areas where many players are congregating, as tiles will disappear rapidly.

Phase 2: Layer Management & Strategic Falls: As the top layers break, you'll need to fall to lower ones. When falling, aim for large, untouched sections of ice. Look for opportunities to 'cut off' other players by breaking tiles they need to reach a safe area. Be mindful of the ice's fragility; plan your route carefully to avoid getting stranded on a single tile.

Phase 3: The Final Layers: In the last layers, the map becomes very small. Focus on creating long, winding paths to maximize your time on each layer. If you're on the lowest layer, try to stay on the edge and force others into the middle. A well-timed jump and dive can sometimes save you from a precarious situation or allow you to reach a last-minute safe tile. Be aware of the 'ice physics' – you slide a bit more than on regular tiles.

Key Strategy: Conserve tiles, create your own paths, and actively try to cut off opponents. Patience and precise movement are paramount, with an added emphasis on managing the slippery ice.
