President Richardson is the leader of the Enclave and the mastermind behind the FEV virus plot. While not a direct combat boss in the same vein as Horrigan, confronting him involves a critical dialogue sequence that can lead to a fight or a more strategic resolution.

Phases & Weaknesses:
- Dialogue Phase: You'll have a lengthy conversation with Richardson. Your Speech and Intelligence skills are paramount here. You can try to expose his plans, appeal to his logic, or simply refuse to cooperate.
- Combat Phase (Optional): If dialogue fails or you choose to attack, Richardson will call in guards. He himself is not a powerful combatant, but his bodyguards are well-equipped.
Strategy:
- Max Speech/Intelligence: The best way to deal with Richardson is through dialogue. A high Speech skill can allow you to manipulate him or expose his plans to the Enclave personnel, potentially turning them against him.
- Expose the FEV: If you have evidence of the FEV virus (from the computer terminals), you can use it to undermine his authority.
- Prepare for Combat: If you anticipate a fight, position your companions strategically. Focus on eliminating his guards first, as Richardson himself is relatively weak.
- Use Stealth: If you're a stealth character, you might be able to bypass his guards and confront him directly, or even assassinate him.
The encounter with President Richardson is more about your character's diplomatic and intellectual prowess than raw combat power. A successful dialogue can lead to a more satisfying and less bloody resolution to the Enclave threat.
