Fallout 2's turn-based combat can be challenging. Mastering advanced tactics will significantly improve your survival rate.

- Target Specific Body Parts: Right-click to cycle target options. Aim for the eyes/head for critical hits, or legs to cripple movement.
- Use Cover: Position your character and companions behind obstacles to reduce incoming damage.
- Kiting: For ranged characters, move away from melee enemies while firing to keep them at a distance.
- Chokepoints: Funnel enemies into narrow passages where they can only attack one at a time, allowing your party to focus fire.
- Explosives: Grenades are excellent for dealing with groups of enemies or softening up tough foes.
- Drugs: Don't be afraid to use Jet, Psycho, or Buffout in tough fights. The temporary boost can be life-saving.
- Save Action Points: Always try to save enough AP at the end of your turn to move or fire if an enemy gets too close.
- Scout Ahead: Use your Sneak skill to scout enemy positions and plan your attack.
Practice makes perfect. The more you engage in combat, the better you'll become at anticipating enemy moves and utilizing your character's strengths.
