Season Pass & Scoreboard
The Season Pass and Scoreboard system in Fallout 76 is your primary method for earning a vast array of free rewards, from cosmetic items and C.A.M.P. blueprints to consumables and even Atoms. Each Season introduces a new Scoreboard with 100 ranks, each offering unique rewards. Progressing through these ranks is achieved by earning S.C.O.R.E. points, primarily through completing Daily and Weekly Challenges.
Understanding the Scoreboard Interface
Access the Scoreboard from the main menu. Here, you'll see your current rank, the next reward, and a preview of all rewards available throughout the Season. You can also view the challenges that contribute to your S.C.O.R.E. progress.
- Current Rank: Your progress through the 100 ranks.
- Next Reward: The item or currency you'll receive upon reaching the next rank.
- Challenge List: A detailed breakdown of Daily and Weekly Challenges.
- Season Theme: Each Season has a unique theme, reflected in the Scoreboard's artwork and the rewards offered.
Earning S.C.O.R.E. Points: Your Path to Rewards
The core of Scoreboard progression lies in accumulating S.C.O.R.E. points. This is primarily done through completing challenges, but there are other avenues as well.
Daily Challenges
These challenges reset every 24 hours and offer a quick burst of S.C.O.R.E. They are generally straightforward and can often be completed during regular gameplay. Examples include:
- Complete an Event: Participate in any public event, such as Feed the People at Mama Dolce's Food Processing or One Violent Night at the Sons of Dane Compound.
- Kill X Creatures: Eliminate a specified number of enemies. This could be anything from Scorched in the Forest region to Super Mutants at West Tek Research Center.
- Craft X Items: Create items at a workbench. Crafting Diluted Stimpacks or Simple Purified Water is a common, low-cost method.
- Harvest X Plants: Collect flora from the environment. Look for Corn at Billings Homestead or Silt Beans near Flatwoods.
Weekly Challenges
Weekly Challenges are more demanding but offer significantly higher S.C.O.R.E. rewards. They reset every Tuesday and often require more dedicated effort or specific activities. Examples include:
- Complete X Public Events: Participate in multiple events throughout the week. Focus on popular events like Radiation Rumble in Emmett Mountain Disposal Site or A Colossal Problem in Monongah Mine.
- Level Up X Times: Gain a certain number of character levels. Grinding experience in areas with high enemy density like the Watoga Emergency Services or participating in Eviction Notice can help.
- Claim X Workshops: Capture and defend workshops. Tyler County Dirt Track and Grafton Steel are often contested but offer good resources.
- Complete X Daily Ops: Engage in the repeatable instanced dungeon. Daily Ops can be found on your map and offer unique rewards in addition to S.C.O.R.E.
Repeatable S.C.O.R.E.
After completing all Daily and Weekly Challenges, you can still earn S.C.O.R.E. by gaining experience points. For every 10,000 XP earned, you'll receive a small amount of S.C.O.R.E. This makes continuous gameplay rewarding, even after challenges are done. Consider using Lunchboxes and joining a Casual Public Team for an XP boost.
Maximizing Your Season Pass Progression
To get the most out of each Season, consider these strategies:
- Prioritize Daily Challenges: Always complete your Daily Challenges first. They are quick, easy, and provide consistent S.C.O.R.E.
- Plan for Weekly Challenges: Look at the Weekly Challenges early in the week and plan your gameplay around them. If a challenge requires specific activities, like crafting Nuka-Cola Quantum, gather the necessary ingredients (Nuka-Cola, Quantum, Sugar) beforehand.
- Join Public Teams: A Casual Public Team provides an Intelligence boost, which translates to more XP and faster progression through the repeatable S.C.O.R.E.
- use Consumables: Lunchboxes (from the Atomic Shop or Scoreboard rewards) and Leader Bobbleheads: Intelligence significantly boost XP gain. Combine these with well-rested bonuses from sleeping in your C.A.M.P.
- Don't Forget Events: Public Events are excellent for both XP and often fulfill Daily/Weekly Challenge requirements. Keep an eye on the map for active events.
- Purchase Ranks (Optional): If you're short on time or want to quickly reach a specific reward, you can purchase individual ranks using Atoms. This is generally not recommended for F2P players but is an option for those who wish to accelerate their progress.
Rewards and Their Value
The rewards on the Scoreboard are diverse and cater to various playstyles. They include:
- Cosmetics: Outfits, weapon skins, armor paints, and C.A.M.P. decorations.
- C.A.M.P. Blueprints: Unique structures, furniture, and utility items for your base.
- Consumables: Lunchboxes, Repair Kits, Scrap Kits, Perfect Bubblegum, and various food/drink items.
- Currency: Atoms (premium currency), Caps, Legendary Scrip, and Gold Bullion.
- Perk Card Packs: Random Perk Cards to enhance your character's abilities.
- Utility Items: Collector Bots (like the Scavenger Bot) or Ammo Converter.
Many of these rewards are exclusive to the Season Pass and cannot be obtained elsewhere, making active participation highly beneficial for all players.
