Bulk Crafting & Storage
Efficiently managing your crafting and storage is paramount to success in Fallout 76, especially when dealing with the vast quantities of junk and resources required for C.A.M.P. building and gear modification. Bulk crafting and understanding your storage limitations are key to optimizing your inventory and crafting workflow.
Bulk Crafting allows you to craft multiple items of the same type simultaneously, saving you time and effort. When you access a crafting station (like a Workbench or Chemistry Station), you'll see options to craft individual items or, if available, to craft in bulk. This is particularly useful for crafting ammunition, chems, or building components.
To enable bulk crafting, you often need specific Perks. The Super Duper perk (Luck) has a chance to craft additional items when you craft, effectively increasing your yield. The Homebody perk (Intelligence) can reduce the amount of materials needed for crafting C.A.M.P. items.
Storage Solutions:
- Stash Box: This is your primary storage container, with a limit of 1200 lbs. It's accessible from almost anywhere in the world, making it convenient for stashing excess items.
- C.A.M.P. Storage: While not a separate inventory, placing items in your C.A.M.P. (like containers or crafting stations) effectively stores them within your build.
- Personal Inventory: Your character's carry weight limit is also a form of storage, but it's best to keep this for items you actively use or are transporting.
Bulk Components:
Many junk items can be broken down into their base components (e.g., Steel, Wood, Screws). To save inventory space and make crafting more efficient, it's highly recommended to bulk these components at a Workbench. Bulking requires Plastic and creates a single item that weighs less than the sum of its individual parts.
How to Bulk Components:
- Access any Workbench.
- Navigate to the "Bulk" tab.
- Select the component you wish to bulk (e.g., Steel, Lead, Aluminum).
- Craft the bulked version using the required Plastic.
