The survivor will claim betrayal, and the Courier can uncover the truth, leading to a confrontation over the star bottlecaps.
- Boulder City Standoff: Traveling north from Novac to Boulder City, the Courier must resolve a standoff between NCR forces and Great Khans. After this, Jessup reveals that Benny fled to the Tops casino with the platinum chip, advancing the main quest towards New Vegas.
- Accessing New Vegas Strip: To reach New Vegas and confront Benny, the Courier must gain access to the Strip. This can be achieved by passing a credit check, hacking a Securitron, buying a passport, or utilizing NCR connections.
