Mastering the controls and understanding the UI are fundamental to your survival. The default PC controls are WASD for movement, E for activate, R for reload, V for VATS, and Tab for the Pip-Boy. The Pip-Boy is your primary interface for inventory, stats, maps, and quests. Familiarize yourself with its tabs: STATS (character info), ITEMS (inventory), DATA (quests, notes, map), and RADIO (music). The compass at the top of your screen indicates quest markers, enemies, and points of interest. Pay attention to your health, AP, and radiation levels displayed on the HUD.
