Exploiting Enemy Weaknesses

Learn to exploit enemy weaknesses in Fallout: New Vegas, adapting your combat strategy for robots, super mutants, deathclaws, and more.

Overview: Different enemy types have different resistances and weaknesses. Knowing these can make difficult encounters much easier.

  • Robots: Weak to EMP weapons (Pulse Gun, Pulse Grenades) and often energy weapons. Resistant to conventional firearms.
  • Super Mutants: Often heavily armored, but vulnerable to headshots. Explosives are effective against groups.
  • Deathclaws: High DT, but legs can be crippled to slow them down. Vulnerable to critical hits and explosives.
  • Feral Ghouls: No DT, but can be numerous. Headshots are effective.
  • Humans: Vulnerable to headshots and critical hits. Armor-piercing rounds are useful against heavily armored human foes.

Strategy: Carry a diverse arsenal to adapt to different enemy types. Switch weapons based on the threat you face.
