The Battle for Hoover Dam — Fallout: New Vegas Walkthrough
The year is 2281, two centuries after nuclear war, and the New California Republic (NCR) has expanded east into Nevada. Across the Colorado River, Caesar’s Legion, an army of tribals organized under the guise of ancient Rome, poses a threat. Impending conflict looms between these two superpowers over Hoover Dam, which controls electricity and, by extension, Nevada. The enigmatic Mr. House of New Vegas also has his own plans for the Mojave's future.
The Hoover Dam is the central battleground, with control over its electricity dictating power in Nevada. Beyond the NCR and Caesar's Legion, other factions like escaped convicts, chem-addicted raiders, independent tribals, and local towns all have their own motivations in the conflict. Mr. House, the overlord of New Vegas, also has significant influence and plans for the Mojave's future. The overarching narrative explores whether the NCR's democracy will spread, Caesar's Legion will impose its harsh justice, Mr. House will leverage pre-war technology for New Vegas's independence, or if the Courier will manipulate all sides to achieve their own ambitions.
