Resource Management — Fallout Shelter Guide

Manage Power, Food, and Water in Fallout Shelter. Maintain surpluses to prevent room shutdowns, declining health, and radiation poisoning for your dwellers.

Maintaining a healthy balance of Power, Food, and Water is paramount. Power is consumed by all rooms; if it drops too low, rooms furthest from generators will shut down. Food is consumed by all dwellers; a shortage leads to declining health and happiness. Water is also consumed by all dwellers; a shortage leads to radiation poisoning and declining happiness. Always aim for a surplus of all three resources. Build additional production rooms as your vault grows and assign dwellers with appropriate S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats. Upgrading rooms increases their production capacity but also their power consumption. Monitor your resource bars constantly and react quickly to any dips.
