Engaged Overseers must master various mission types to maximize efficiency and dweller happiness.

Daily Objectives are the backbone of your resource intake. These tasks—such as "Successfully Rush 2 Rooms" or "Collect 500 Water"—grant Caps or Lunchboxes upon completion. You can skip one objective per day for free, which is vital if you are assigned a difficult task like "Kill 10 Deathclaws Without a Weapon" early in the game. Completing a consecutive streak of daily objectives also contributes to your weekly progress for even greater rewards.

The Overseer’s Office unlocks the true questing system. These scripted missions take your dwellers to external locations like Super Duper Mart or abandoned Red Rocket stations. Engaging in these side quests is the primary way to find Nuka-Cola Quantum, which allows you to skip travel times or instantly complete crafting recipes. High-tier quests often reward Legendary Blueprints, allowing you to craft powerful gear like the Dragon's Maw or Heavy Vault Suit.

Special Events and Holiday Quests appear seasonally throughout the year. During events like Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, special limited-time questlines become available. These activities are the only way to obtain exclusive themed outfits and decorations (like the Ghost Costume or Skeleton Outfit) which provide unique stat boosts. Additionally, keep an eye out for the Bottle & Cappy questline; completing it allows these mascots to visit your vault periodically, granting temporary happiness boosts and occasional Caps or Nuka-Cola Quantum when tapped.
