Weapons in Fallout Tactics are categorized into Small Guns, Big Guns, Energy Weapons, Melee Weapons, and Throwing Weapons. Each category has its strengths and weaknesses. Small Guns, like the 10mm Pistol, Hunting Rifle, and Sniper Rifle, are common and effective for most early to mid-game encounters. Sniper Rifles are excellent for precision shots. Big Guns, such as Miniguns, Rocket Launchers, and Flamers, offer high damage output, especially against groups or heavily armored foes, but consume a lot of ammo. Energy Weapons, including Laser Rifles and Plasma Rifles, become available later and are highly effective against armored targets due to their energy damage type. Melee Weapons, like Knives, Sledgehammers, and Super Sledges, are for close-quarters combat and can be devastating in the hands of a high-Strength character. Throwing Weapons, such as Grenades and Molotovs, provide area-of-effect damage and can be used to flush out enemies from cover. Always match the weapon to the character's skill and ensure you have ample ammunition.
