Mission Objectives & Rewards

Welcome, Initiate! This section will meticulously guide you through the primary and secondary objectives of each mission, detailing optimal strategies, key item locations, and the valuable rewards awaiting your successful completion. Remember, thorough preparation and tactical execution are paramount to upholding the Brotherhood's honor.

Mission 1: Training Grounds

Primary Objectives:

  • Complete Basic Combat Drills: Engage and eliminate all training bots in the designated combat arena.
    • Strategy: Utilize the provided Hunting Rifle and 9mm Pistol. Focus fire on one bot at a time to minimize incoming damage. Use the crates for cover.
    • Location: Main Training Arena, accessible directly from your starting position.
  • Demonstrate Medical Proficiency: Use a First Aid Kit on a wounded squad member.
    • Strategy: One of your squadmates will sustain minor damage during the combat drill. Select a First Aid Kit from your inventory and apply it to them.
    • Location: First Aid Kits are automatically placed in your squad's inventory at the mission start.

Secondary Objectives:

  • Retrieve the Lost Holotape: Locate and pick up the Holotape containing advanced combat protocols.
    • Strategy: After clearing the main arena, proceed to the small storage room located to the north-east. The Holotape is on a workbench.
    • Location: Storage Room, North-East section of the Training Grounds.

Rewards:

  • Experience Points: 500 XP (Primary), 200 XP (Secondary)
  • Items: 2x Stimpaks, 1x Combat Knife
  • Reputation: +5 Brotherhood Reputation
  • Recruit Access: Unlocks access to the Quartermaster for basic gear and new recruits for your squad.

Mission 2: Rock Falls

Primary Objectives:

  • Eliminate Raider Threat: Neutralize all hostile raiders in the Rock Falls settlement.
    • Strategy: Approach cautiously from the south. Utilize buildings for cover and funnel enemies into kill zones. Prioritize targets with ranged weapons. Consider using a scout to draw out enemies.
    • Location: Throughout the Rock Falls settlement, particularly concentrated around the central plaza and the northern shacks.
  • Secure the Water Purifier: Ensure the water purification plant is free of hostiles and operational.
    • Strategy: The purifier is located in the heavily guarded western section. A frontal assault is risky. Try to flank from the north or use grenades to clear entrenched positions.
    • Location: Western side of Rock Falls, identifiable by large metallic tanks and pipes.

Secondary Objectives:

  • Rescue Captured Settlers: Find and free the three settlers held captive by the raiders.
    • Strategy: Two settlers are in a locked shed near the central plaza (requires a character with high Lockpick skill or a Lockpick Set found in a nearby raider's corpse). The third is in a cellar beneath the largest building in the north-east, guarded by a particularly tough raider.
    • Location: Shed (central plaza), Cellar (north-east building).
  • Recover Stolen Supplies: Locate and retrieve the Brotherhood supply crate.
    • Strategy: The crate is hidden in a dilapidated shack on the far eastern edge of the map, often overlooked. It's guarded by a single, wary raider.
    • Location: Easternmost shack, partially obscured by debris.

Rewards:

  • Experience Points: 1000 XP (Primary), 400 XP (each Secondary)
  • Items: 1x Assault Rifle, 2x Frag Grenades, 1x Leather Armor Mark II (from Stolen Supplies crate)
  • Reputation: +10 Brotherhood Reputation, +5 Civilian Reputation
  • Quartermaster Update: New weapons and armor become available for purchase.

Mission 3: Quincy

Primary Objectives:

  • Investigate Super Mutant Activity: Determine the extent of Super Mutant presence in Quincy.
    • Strategy: Move cautiously through the ruined city. Super Mutants are tough; utilize cover and focus fire. Explosives are highly effective against them. Be prepared for ambushes.
    • Location: Throughout the entire Quincy ruins, especially around larger structures and the central park area.
  • Eliminate Super Mutant Leader: Locate and defeat the Super Mutant Warlord.
    • Strategy: The Warlord is heavily armored and carries a powerful weapon (often a Minigun). Focus all available firepower on him. Consider using a character with high Sneak to get into a prime position for an opening attack. He is typically found in the most fortified area.
    • Location: Fortified building in the northern sector of Quincy, often surrounded by several Super Mutant guards.

Secondary Objectives:

  • Disable Super Mutant Communications Array: Destroy the radio tower used by the Super Mutants.
    • Strategy: The array is located on a rooftop. You'll need to find a path through a building to access the roof. A character with high Explosives skill can use a Plastic Explosive for a quick demolition, or you can simply shoot it until destroyed.
    • Location: Rooftop of a multi-story building in the western part of Quincy.
  • Recover Brotherhood Intel: Find the data disk containing critical information about Super Mutant movements.
    • Strategy: The data disk is in a hidden safe within a collapsed building. You'll need a character with a high Repair skill to open the safe, or a Crowbar found nearby.
    • Location: Collapsed building, south-eastern section of Quincy, inside a wall safe.

Rewards:

  • Experience Points: 1500 XP (Primary), 600 XP (each Secondary)
  • Items: 1x Plasma Rifle, 3x Super Stimpaks, 1x Power Fist (from Warlord's corpse), 1x Brotherhood Combat Armor (from Intel reward)
  • Reputation: +15 Brotherhood Reputation
  • Quartermaster Update: Advanced energy weapons and heavy armor become available.
