Efficient resource management is key to long-term survival. Always loot every container and fallen enemy; even seemingly worthless items can be sold for Brotherhood scrip. Prioritize collecting ammunition, stimpaks, and valuable weapons/armor. In your bunker, the Quartermaster is your primary vendor. He restocks periodically, so check back often. Sell excess gear, especially low-tier weapons and armor, to fund your purchases of better equipment and critical supplies. Don't be afraid to buy large quantities of common ammunition types. Consider having a character with a high Barter skill to get better prices when trading. Random encounters can also provide trading opportunities with merchants who might offer unique items or better deals than the Quartermaster. Never leave a mission without thoroughly scavenging the area.
