Capturing Garrison Outposts is a core gameplay loop in Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, allowing you to expand your control over the island and deny Omega Force valuable resources. These outposts are heavily guarded by enemy soldiers, turrets, and sometimes even armored vehicles. A well-planned approach is key to a swift and successful capture.

Before assaulting an outpost, take some time to scout it from a distance. Identify enemy patrol routes, locate alarm systems, and pinpoint the positions of heavy weapons and snipers. Utilizing your binoculars or the scope on your sniper rifle can provide invaluable intelligence.

Here are some effective strategies for capturing Garrison Outposts:

Stealth and Takedowns: The most efficient method is often to infiltrate the outpost undetected. Use silenced weapons and melee takedowns to eliminate guards one by one. Prioritize taking out enemies near alarm systems to prevent reinforcements from arriving.
Explosive Entry: For a more direct approach, utilize explosives. RPGs, C4, or even well-placed grenades can quickly clear out clusters of enemies and destroy key defenses like turrets. Be mindful of collateral damage and potential self-inflicted wounds.
