Beyond basic shooting, mastering advanced combat strategies can turn the tide in even the toughest encounters.
- Chain Takedown Mastery: Don't just use one takedown. After a standard takedown, quickly look for another nearby enemy and press the melee button again for a chain takedown. This is incredibly efficient for clearing out small patrols silently. Practice the timing to maximize its effectiveness.
- Lure & Exploit: Always carry cyber-hearts. If an outpost is heavily guarded or has a Blood Dragon patrolling nearby, throw a cyber-heart into the outpost. The Blood Dragon will rampage, clearing out most of the Omega Force soldiers for you. You can then pick off the survivors or sneak in.
- Environmental Awareness: Look for explosive barrels, gas canisters, or weak structures. Shooting these can create chain reactions, taking out multiple enemies or opening new paths. Use the environment to your advantage, especially in confined spaces.
- Prioritize Threats: In a firefight, always prioritize the most dangerous enemies first: snipers, heavy gunners, and enemies with rocket launchers. Taking them out quickly reduces incoming damage and makes the fight manageable.
- Movement is Life: Never stand still in a firefight. Continuously move, sprint, slide, and use cover to make yourself a harder target. Flanking enemies can also give you a significant advantage.
- Weapon Switching: Don't stick to one weapon. Quickly switch between your primary for medium range, shotgun for close quarters, and pistol for stealth. Master the weapon wheel for quick transitions.
