Liberating outposts is a core activity in Far Cry 4. Each outpost is an enemy-controlled stronghold that, once cleared, becomes a fast travel point, a safe house, and unlocks new side missions. You can approach outposts stealthily for bonus XP and rewards, or go in guns blazing. Stealth involves disabling alarms, tagging enemies, and performing silent takedowns. If an alarm is raised, reinforcements will arrive. Liberating all outposts in a region significantly weakens Pagan Min's control and makes exploration safer. Look for unique challenges at each outpost.
