While Far Cry New Dawn doesn't offer extensive character creation in the traditional RPG sense, you do get to choose your character's gender at the very beginning of the game. This choice is purely cosmetic and does not affect gameplay, abilities, or story progression. Once you've made this initial decision, you'll be known as the 'Security Captain.' you'll unlock and acquire various cosmetic items, including outfits, headwear, and eyewear, which can be changed at any time from the 'Character' tab in the main menu. These cosmetic items are found through exploration, completing missions, or purchasing them from the in-game store. Experiment with different looks to personalize your Captain and stand out in the vibrant post-apocalyptic world of Hope County.
