Prosperity

  • Objective: Establish a new home for the survivors.

    1. Follow Thomas Rush's instructions to the designated settlement location.
    2. Clear out any initial Highwaymen resistance in the immediate area.
    3. Interact with the workbench to begin the first upgrade for Prosperity. This typically involves gathering a small amount of Components and Ethanol.
    4. After the initial upgrade, you'll be introduced to the various facilities available at Prosperity. Prioritize upgrading the Expeditions and Training Camp facilities early for better gear and perks.
  • Key Items/Locations: The initial Prosperity site itself. Look for small caches of Components and Ethanol scattered around the immediate vicinity.
  • Strategy: Focus on stealth for clearing the initial area to conserve resources. Use your basic bow or silenced pistol if available.

The New Face of Hope

  • Objective: Recruit Carmina Rye to your cause.

    1. Head to Rye & Sons Aviation, located to the east of Prosperity.
    2. Upon arrival, you'll find the area under attack by Highwaymen. Engage and eliminate all hostiles.

    4. Carmina will then join your roster as a Gun for Hire, providing valuable assistance in future engagements.
  • Key Items/Locations: Rye & Sons Aviation. Keep an eye out for Components and Ethanol in the hangars and around the main house.
  • Strategy: The Highwaymen here can be numerous. Utilize cover effectively and prioritize enemies with heavier armor or specialized weapons. Carmina is a capable fighter, but don't rely solely on her.

Act II: Seeking Specialists

As Prosperity grows, you'll need specialized individuals to unlock advanced facilities and crafting options. These missions often involve venturing further into Hope County and facing tougher challenges.

Deep Dive

  • Objective: Locate and recruit Selene, the expert diver.
  • Walkthrough:
    1. Travel to the designated location, a flooded cave system in the northern part of the map.
    2. Navigate the underwater passages. You'll need to manage your oxygen supply, so look for air pockets or use the Rebreather perk if you have it.
    3. Encounter Highwaymen divers in certain sections. Use melee attacks or underwater weapons if available.
    4. Reach Selene's hidden chamber. She will initially be wary, but after a brief conversation, she agrees to join Prosperity.
  • Key Items/Locations: Flooded caves, various underwater caches containing Titanium and Circuit Boards. The Rebreather perk is highly recommended for this mission.
  • Strategy: Conserve oxygen. Mark enemy divers before engaging them. A good strategy is to use a silent takedown from behind when possible.

  • Objective: Find and convince Pastor Jerome to return to the flock.

    2. The church will be heavily fortified by Highwaymen. You can approach this stealthily or go in guns blazing.
    3. Clear the church grounds and enter the main building.
    4. Confront Pastor Jerome, who is struggling with his faith. After a cutscene, he will join Prosperity.
  • Key Items/Locations: The church, often a good source of Ethanol and Components from the Highwaymen vehicles and caches.
  • Strategy: For a stealth approach, use the surrounding foliage and silenced weapons to pick off enemies one by one. If going loud, bring explosives for the armored Highwaymen and turrets.

Act III: Confronting the Twins

The final act of the story pits you directly against Mickey and Lou, the leaders of the Highwaymen. These missions are the most challenging and require fully upgraded facilities and a strong arsenal.

The Best Defense

    1. Return to Prosperity when the mission becomes available.

    2. This mission is a gauntlet. Expect intense firefights and numerous elite Highwaymen.
    3. Navigate through the complex, clearing out enemies as you go. Look for alternative paths or environmental hazards to your advantage.
    4. Eventually, you will reach Mickey and Lou. The final confrontation involves a multi-stage boss fight.
      • Phase 1 (Mickey): She will attack aggressively with a powerful melee weapon. Keep your distance and aim for headshots.
      • Phase 2 (Lou): She will provide ranged support and deploy traps. Focus on dodging her attacks and destroying any deployed devices.
      • Phase 3 (Both): They will coordinate their attacks. Use your Guns for Hire to draw aggro and create openings.
    5. Defeat both Mickey and Lou to complete the main story.
