Crawling from the Wreckage

Your journey begins with a bang, or rather, a crash. After the cinematic introduction, you'll find yourself in the wreckage of a train. This mission serves as your introduction to the harsh realities of post-apocalyptic Hope County.

  • Objective: Follow Thomas Rush. Stick close to Rush as he navigates the immediate aftermath. He'll provide essential context and guide you through the initial dangers.
  • Objective: Scavenge for Supplies. Keep an eye out for glowing resource nodes. You'll primarily find Components and Ethanol in this area. These are vital for crafting and upgrading Prosperity.
  • First Encounter: You'll soon encounter your first Highwaymen. Rush will provide you with a basic Pipe Shotgun. Use cover effectively and aim for headshots to conserve ammunition. These early enemies are Tier 1, so they're relatively easy to dispatch.
  • Healing: Remember to use your Medkits (default key: 'Q' on PC) if your health drops. You'll find a few scattered around the wreckage.
  • Reaching Prosperity: Continue following Rush. You'll eventually reach the gates of Prosperity, your home base.

Find Hope

Upon arriving at Prosperity, you'll be tasked with a crucial mission: finding Carmina Rye, the daughter of Nick and Kim Rye from Far Cry 5. She's a key figure in the community and holds valuable information.

  • Objective: Talk to Carmina Rye. Head into the main building of Prosperity and locate Carmina. She'll be marked on your HUD.
  • Objective: Gather Resources for Prosperity. Carmina will explain the need for Ethanol to upgrade Prosperity. Your first task will be to gather 50 Ethanol.
  • Ethanol Sources:
    • Outposts: The most lucrative source. Look for nearby Tier 1 Outposts like the "Broken Forge" or "The Pantry". Clearing an outpost for the first time grants a significant amount of Ethanol. For a stealth approach, use your Makeshift Bow to take out enemies silently. If going loud, a Makeshift AK-47 is a good early choice.
    • Supply Drops: Keep an eye on the sky for planes dropping supply crates. These often contain Ethanol and other valuable resources.
    • Highwaymen Convoys: These can be challenging early on, but destroying a convoy's tanker truck yields a good amount of Ethanol. Consider using a Molotov Cocktail for quick destruction.
  • Upgrade Prosperity: Once you have 50 Ethanol, return to the Expedition Table in Prosperity and upgrade the Explosives Workbench or Healing Garden first. This will unlock better grenades/medkits, which are invaluable.
  • Objective: Meet with Thomas Rush. After upgrading Prosperity, Rush will have your next assignment.

Breakout

This mission involves rescuing some of Prosperity's people from a Highwaymen encampment. Stealth is highly recommended here to minimize casualties and conserve resources.

  • Objective: Infiltrate the Highwaymen Camp. The camp will be marked on your map. Approach from a vantage point to scout enemy positions. Use your Binoculars to tag enemies and identify heavy units.
  • Stealth Approach:
    • Utilize tall grass and cover.
    • Prioritize taking out snipers and alarms first. A well-placed Makeshift Bow arrow to the head is ideal.
    • Use Takedowns (melee attack when close and undetected) for silent eliminations.
    • If you have unlocked the "Ghost" perk, it will make stealth much easier.
  • Loud Approach (if stealth fails):
    • Be prepared for a firefight. Use your best weapons, like the Makeshift SMG if you've crafted it.
    • Utilize Molotov Cocktails or Pipe Bombs to clear groups of enemies or destroy cover.
    • Focus fire on Enforcers (heavily armored enemies) with headshots or explosives.
    • use your Medkits and find cover to regenerate health.
  • Objective: Free the Captives. Once the area is clear, locate the cages where the captives are held. Interact with the cage doors to free them.
  • Objective: Escort the Captives to Safety. The captives will follow you. Lead them to the designated safe zone, defending them from any remaining Highwaymen.
  • Reward: Successfully completing this mission will often unlock a new Gun for Hire or provide a significant boost to Prosperity's resources.
