Collectibles & Lore

The untamed land of Oros is filled with relics from the past, each telling a piece of the story of the Wenja, the Udam, and the Izila. Discovering these collectibles is essential for achieving 100% completion, earning significant XP, and unlocking valuable Skill Points. Your Hunter Vision is your most crucial tool for this task, as it highlights collectibles in the environment with a distinct glow, often from a great distance.

There are five primary types of collectibles scattered across Oros. Keep an eye on your map, as unveiled areas will often display icons for collectibles you have passed near.

Daysha Hands

These glowing, hand-shaped rock formations are found exclusively inside caves, often tucked away in dark corners or small alcoves. There are 100 Daysha Hands in total. They are arguably the most important collectibles to find early in the game.

  • Reward: Finding your first Daysha Hand rewards you with a Skill Point. Subsequently, you earn a substantial XP bonus for each one found.
  • Strategy: Systematically explore every cave you discover. Upon entering a cave, immediately activate your Hunter Vision to scan for the distinctive yellow-orange glow. They often appear on the mini-map as you get close.

Wenja Bracelets

These small, discarded bracelets are remnants of fallen Wenja tribe members. There are 100 Wenja Bracelets to find. They are scattered throughout the open world, unlike the cave-bound Daysha Hands.

  • Reward: Each bracelet provides an XP bonus.
  • Strategy: Bracelets appear on the main map and mini-map with a unique icon once you get close enough. They are often found near paths, riverbeds, old campsites, and prominent rock formations. Keep Hunter Vision active while traveling between objectives to spot them easily.

Spirit Totems

Carved wooden totems placed by the Wenja to honor their spirits. There are 12 Spirit Totems to locate. Each is placed in a small, hidden shrine-like area, and you must interact with it to "collect" it.

  • Reward: Each totem awards a large XP bonus.
  • Strategy: These are some of the most well-hidden collectibles. Look for them in remote, hard-to-reach places like high ledges, secluded grottoes behind waterfalls, or small clearings deep in the woods. They often require some climbing or use of the grappling claw to access.

Izila Masks

These grim, painted masks are a symbol of the sun-worshipping Izila tribe. There are 25 Izila Masks, and they can only be found in the southern, fire-scorched region of Oros controlled by the Izila.

  • Reward: Each mask grants a significant XP reward. You must destroy them, usually with an arrow or a melee strike.
  • Strategy: Focus your search within Izila territory. They are often hung on cliffsides, inside Izila huts, at the bottom of deep pits, or even underwater in lakes and rivers near their camps. Hunter Vision will make them glow with a pale, ghostly light.

Cave Paintings

These detailed paintings depict the history and mythology of the people of Oros. There are 22 Cave Paintings to discover. They are found on the walls of the main caves that serve as shelter and fast travel points.

  • Reward: Finding a painting provides an XP bonus and unlocks a lore entry that enriches the narrative.
  • Strategy: After discovering a new cave (marked on the map with a house icon), explore its main living area thoroughly. The paintings are usually on large, prominent rock faces within the central chamber. They will glow when viewed with Hunter Vision.
