Completing these missions is crucial for progressing through the game's narrative and expanding Takkar's capabilities.

Unlocking Specialist Missions

Specialist missions become available as you rescue and recruit key Wenja specialists to your village. Each specialist has a unique hut that can be upgraded, and their missions often appear on your map as distinct orange icons with their portrait. Prioritize recruiting these individuals early on to gain access to their valuable contributions.

• Sayla (Gatherer): Your first specialist, Sayla, is recruited automatically early in the game. Her missions focus on gathering resources and expanding your village.
• Tensay (Shaman): Tensay is found during the main story quest "Vision of Beasts." His missions involve spiritual journeys and unlocking beast taming abilities.

• Bring a Beast Companion: A tamed beast companion is invaluable. Sabertooth Tigers are excellent for combat, while Cave Bears offer resilience. Owls are perfect for scouting ahead and marking enemies.
• use Hunter Vision: Always use Hunter Vision (press R3/Right Stick) to identify enemies, track animals, and locate important mission objectives or resources.
• Stealth is Key: For many missions, especially those involving enemy camps, a stealthy approach can save you a lot of trouble and resources. Use your bow for silent takedowns.
• Upgrade Your Gear: Continuously upgrade your weapons, tools, and village huts. Stronger gear makes missions significantly easier.

Tensay's Vision: The Great Scar Bear

This early mission from Tensay introduces you to the concept of hunting Legendary Beasts. It's crucial for unlocking the ability to tame larger, more powerful animals.

1. Initiate the Quest: Speak to Tensay at his hut in the village. He will describe a vision of a powerful bear and task you with hunting it.
2. Travel to the Hunting Grounds: The mission marker will guide you to a specific area in the northern part of Oros, often near a river or dense forest.
3. Track the Bear: Upon arrival, activate Hunter Vision. You'll find large paw prints and disturbed vegetation. Follow these tracks carefully. They will lead you deeper into the hunting zone.
4. Prepare for Battle: Before engaging, craft a good supply of Long Spears (requires 2 Hardwood, 2 Slate) and Fire Bombs (requires 1 Animal Fat, 1 Clay Pot). Equip your most powerful bow and a strong beast companion, such as a Cave Bear or Sabertooth Tiger.
5. Engage the Great Scar Bear: The bear is a formidable opponent. It has a charge attack and can inflict heavy damage.
   • Strategy 1 (Melee Focus): Command your beast to attack. While the bear is distracted, circle around and hit its flanks with spears. Use your club for quick, powerful swings if it gets close. Dodge its charges by rolling.

This mission from Wogah is essential for vertical exploration and reaching previously inaccessible areas of Oros.

1. Accept the Quest: Talk to Wogah at his upgraded hut. He will express a need for specific materials to create a new climbing tool.
2. Gather Materials: Wogah will request:
   • 2 Rare Animal Hide: These are typically found by hunting rare versions of common animals (e.g., Rare Stripe Wolf, Rare Brown Bear) or by completing certain hunting quests. Check your map for rare animal spawn points.
   • 3 Hardwood: Found by chopping down trees, especially larger ones. Common throughout Oros.
   • 5 Rope: Crafted from 2 Reeds each. Reeds are abundant near water sources.
3. Deliver Materials to Wogah: Once you have all the necessary items, return to Wogah. He will then begin crafting the Grappling Claw.
4. Test the Grappling Claw: Wogah will instruct you to test the new tool. A mission marker will appear, leading you to a nearby cliff face or a specific rock formation with a grapple point.
5. Practice Climbing: Approach the designated grapple point (marked by a specific icon). Aim your Grappling Claw (usually by holding a specific button and then releasing) to attach to the point. Use the movement controls to ascend or descend.
6. Return to Wogah: After successfully testing the Grappling Claw, report back to Wogah to finalize the mission. The Grappling Claw will now be a permanent tool in your inventory, opening up new exploration possibilities.
