Upon entering the research facility, your initial goal is to gain access to the main laboratory area. This often involves navigating through administrative offices and maintenance tunnels. You'll encounter both human mercenaries and the first few Trigens. The Trigens are fast and can leap great distances, so maintain situational awareness. Look for keycards or access codes, often found on dead scientists or in small offices, which are required to open locked doors. The path to the main lab is usually linear but filled with ambushes. Use the environment to your advantage, such as explosive canisters or electrical panels, to deal with groups of enemies.
