After the initial cutscene, you'll be in the boat with Valerie. She'll point out the island. Your first task is to simply steer the boat towards the designated objective marker on your mini-map. The controls for the boat are simple: W to accelerate, S to decelerate/reverse, and A/D to steer. Once you get close to the shore, a new objective will appear, prompting you to disembark. Look for a suitable landing spot, ideally one with some cover, as you'll soon encounter your first enemies. The game will automatically transition to the next phase once you've landed and stepped onto the beach.
