The Giant Crab is a heavily armored crustacean that guards the Veo Lu Sluice. Its tough shell makes it resistant to most frontal attacks, requiring a strategic approach to expose its weak points.
Phases & Attacks:
- Pincer Attack: Swings its large pincers in a wide arc.
- Bubble Breath: Breathes bubbles that can inflict Slow.
- Charge Attack: Charges across the arena, dealing heavy damage.
- Shell Defense: When attacked from the front, it will often retreat into its shell, becoming highly resistant to damage.
Weaknesses & Strategy:
The Giant Crab is resistant to physical attacks on its shell. It is weak to Thunder magic. The primary strategy is to wait for it to expose its soft underside. This usually happens after it performs a charge attack or a pincer attack, or when it's recovering from a stun. When its underside is exposed, unleash all your Thunder magic and physical attacks. Melee characters should try to get behind it or to its sides. In multiplayer, one player can bait its charge while others position themselves for a counter-attack. Be mindful of the Slow status from its bubble breath. Keep healing and be patient. Collect the Myrrh drop after its defeat.
