The Mine Worm is a massive, segmented creature that burrows through the ground, making it a unique challenge. It spends most of its time underground, emerging to attack. The key to this fight is patience and exploiting its brief moments of vulnerability.
Phases & Attacks:
- Burrow & Emerge: The worm will burrow underground and then emerge from a different spot, often with a charge attack. Watch for the ground tremors to predict its emergence.
- Bite Attack: When surfaced, it can perform a powerful bite.
- Tail Whip: If you're behind it, it might perform a tail whip.
- Rock Fall: Occasionally causes rocks to fall from the ceiling, indicated by shadows on the ground.
Weaknesses & Strategy:
The Mine Worm is weak to Blizzard magic. Yukes and Clavats should prepare Blizzard spells. Melee characters should wait for the worm to surface and then focus all attacks on its head, which is its weak point. After taking enough damage, it will burrow again. Repeat this process. In multiplayer, one player can bait its charge attacks while others position themselves to hit its head. Be mindful of the falling rocks and keep moving to avoid them. Healing is crucial if you get caught by its bite or charge. Collect the Myrrh drop after its defeat.
