The Crystal Chalice is your most vital companion in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. This magical artifact protects your caravan from the deadly Miasma Stream, a poisonous fog that covers the land. Without the Chalice's protective field, your HP will rapidly deplete, leading to a swift demise. One player in your party (or you, if playing solo) will always be designated as the 'Chalice Bearer'. This player is responsible for carrying the Chalice and ensuring the entire party remains within its protective aura.
The Chalice Bearer's movement speed is slightly reduced, and they cannot perform certain actions while carrying it. This creates a unique dynamic in multiplayer, where players must coordinate their movements to stay within the Chalice's radius. If the Chalice Bearer is knocked out, another player must pick up the Chalice to maintain the protective field. The Miasma Stream itself is a constant threat, forcing you to move strategically through dungeons. Areas outside the Chalice's aura are indicated by a purple haze and a rapidly decreasing HP bar. Always prioritize staying within the Chalice's light to survive your perilous journey.
