Embarking on a new expedition with your caravan requires careful planning to maximize efficiency and minimize risk. Before setting out, consult your World Map and consider the destination's known dangers and available resources. Each dungeon or region has a specific set of enemies, potential boss encounters, and available materials for crafting and artifact collection. Your caravan's current upgrades, such as the Engine and Cargo Hold, will influence how far you can travel and how much you can carry. Prioritize routes that offer a good balance of experience, valuable drops, and necessary crafting components. For instance, if you're in need of Iron Ore for weapon upgrades, seek out dungeons known to have deposits of this material. Conversely, if your primary goal is to advance the story, focus on the main quest markers. Remember that the Miasma Stream will eventually force you to return to the caravan to recharge your Crystal Chalice. Planning your route to include stops at safe havens or areas with readily available Miasma Crystals can prevent unexpected party wipes. Consider the types of enemies you'll face; if a region is known for fire-based monsters, ensure your party is equipped with weapons and spells that exploit their weaknesses. Optimizing your journey also involves managing your inventory. Sell or store excess items at the caravan before venturing into a new area to make room for loot.
