Year 2 brings you to the industrial Mine of Cathuriges, a dark and dangerous environment filled with new enemy types. You'll encounter Bomb enemies, which explode upon defeat or after a short fuse, and the armored Iron Giant. The Mine of Cathuriges requires you to activate switches to open gates and progress. The boss here is the Mine Worm, a large segmented creature that burrows through the ground. It's vulnerable when it surfaces. Use Blizzard magic for maximum effect.

Following the Mine, you'll venture into the Daemon's Court, a desolate and eerie location. This dungeon introduces undead enemies like Zombies and Ghosts. Ghosts are immune to physical attacks unless 'Holy' is cast on them, or they are hit by a Focus Attack. The boss of Daemon's Court is the Iron Giant, a formidable armored foe. He's slow but hits hard. Focus on his legs to stun him, and use Thunder magic if available. Collect the Myrrh drop after defeating him and prepare for the next year.
