Armor provides defense against physical attacks. Like weapons, different classes have different armor proficiencies. Fighters/Knights can wear heavy armor like Plate and Dragon Armor. Red Mages/Wizards can wear lighter armor. Mages and Black Belts are restricted to robes and lighter gear. Always equip the armor that provides the highest Defense for each character. Some armor pieces also offer elemental resistances, which are crucial for certain dungeons and boss fights. The Ribbon is a powerful accessory that grants resistance to all status effects.
