After obtaining the Ruby, you can use it to open a sealed door deeper within the Earth Cave. This leads to the final chamber where Lich, the Fiend of Earth, awaits. Lich is a powerful undead magic-user. He can cast devastating spells like FIR2 and ICE2. Equip any anti-undead gear you might have (e.g., Silver Sword). Focus your physical attackers on him, and have your White Mage cast HEAL or CUR2 regularly. Black Mages should use their strongest offensive spells. Lich is vulnerable to FIRE spells. After defeating Lich, the Earth Crystal will be restored, and you will gain a significant amount of experience and gold. save!
