Weapons are your primary source of physical damage. Different classes can equip different types of weapons. Fighters and Knights can use a wide array of swords and axes. Thieves and Ninjas are limited to daggers and katanas. Black Belts/Masters are strongest unarmed. Red Mages/Wizards can use some swords and daggers. Mages are generally limited to staves. Always aim for the weapon with the highest Attack power that your character can equip. Some weapons also have elemental properties or special effects. The Masamune is the strongest weapon in the game, usable by all classes after class change.
