With all three key items (White Mask, Black Mask, Crystal Rod) in your possession, you can now enter the Mysidian Tower. Minwu will rejoin your party for this perilous ascent. The Mysidian Tower is a multi-floor dungeon, each floor guarded by powerful elemental fiends and puzzles. You'll face Fire Gigas, Ice Gigas, and Thunder Gigas, each weak to the opposite element. Minwu's high-level White Magic will be invaluable. The tower also features magical barriers that require specific items or spells to pass. At the top, Minwu will sacrifice himself to break the final seal, allowing you to claim the Ultima Tome. This is a bittersweet victory, as Ultima is powerful but comes at a great cost.
