Zidane's core offensive ability is Steal, which allows him to pilfer items from enemies. This is essential for obtaining rare equipment and consumables that might otherwise be inaccessible. Early in the game, stealing weapons and armor can sificantly boost your party's power and survivability. As you progress, the items available to steal become more potent.

Beyond basic stealing, Zidane possesses several other Thief skills that offer unique combat benefits:
