Best Equipment for Each Class
Optimizing your unit's equipment is crucial for tackling FFTA's toughest challenges and maximizing their potential. This section details the best-in-slot gear for many popular and powerful classes, along with strategies for acquiring them. Remember that "best" can be situational, so always consider your overall party composition and the specific mission at hand.
General Equipment Acquisition Tips
- Clan Trials & Quests: Many powerful weapons and armor are rewarded for completing specific Clan Trials or side quests. Always check the mission details for potential rare item rewards.
- Auction House: Keep a close eye on the Auction House in various towns. Rare and powerful equipment often appears here, sometimes at a discount compared to regular shops.
- Monster Drops: Certain monsters have a chance to drop unique or high-tier equipment. Consult a monster drop list if you're hunting for a specific item.
- Stealing: Thieves and Assassins can steal equipment from enemies. This is an excellent way to acquire items that aren't readily available in shops or as quest rewards. Target powerful enemies for their valuable gear.
- Synthesis: Later in the game, you'll unlock the ability to synthesize new items from existing ones. This is often how you'll obtain truly endgame-tier equipment.
