Phases & Attacks:

  • Phase 1 (Gozetsu - 100%-50% HP): The Gozetsu uses powerful laser blasts, missile barrages, and a sweeping melee attack if you get too close. It has high defense.
  • Phase 2 (Gozetsu - Under 50% HP): The Gozetsu may activate an Overdrive mode, increasing its attack speed and damage. It might also deploy smaller drone units.

Weaknesses & Strategy:

  • Weakness: Vulnerable to Thunder magic. Its core is exposed during certain attacks.
  • Recommended Cadets: Cater (Magicite Pistol for ranged Thunder attacks), Rem (high Magic for Thundaga), King (dual revolvers for sustained ranged damage).
  • Strategy:
    1. Stay Ranged: The Gozetsu's melee attacks are devastating. Keep your distance and use ranged characters.
    2. Thunder Magic: Spam Thundara or Thundaga spells. Rem and Cater are excellent choices for this.
    3. Target the Core: During its laser attack or when it's charging, a glowing core may be exposed. Focus all your attacks on this weak point for massive damage and potential Break Sights.
    4. Dodge Missiles: The missile barrages are telegraphed. Dodge continuously to avoid taking heavy damage.
    5. Clear Drones (if any): If the Gozetsu deploys drones, quickly eliminate them to prevent them from overwhelming you.

This fight is a test of your ranged combat and elemental exploitation. Keep the pressure on with Thunder magic and focus on its core whenever it's exposed. Don't be afraid to use Ethers to keep your magic users casting.
