Beyond their standard Class Zero uniforms, each of the fourteen playable cadets in Final Fantasy Type-0 HD has an alternate "Summer Costume" available. These outfits offer a fresh look for your favorite characters and are a fun way to customize your gameplay experience. Unlocking them requires a specific combat achievement for each individual character.

Unlocking Summer Costumes

The method for acquiring the Summer Costume for any given character is straightforward but requires dedicated effort with each member of Class Zero. You'll need to master the art of the Killsight.

Killsight Kills Requirement

• Requirement: Obtain 30 Killsight Kills with a specific character.
• Explanation: A Killsight occurs when a red reticle appears over an enemy, indicating a critical moment to strike for massive damage or an instant kill. Successfully landing the finishing blow during this Killsight window counts towards the unlock requirement.
• Tracking Progress: You can monitor each character's Killsight count by navigating to the "Library" section within the game's main menu. Look for the individual character entries to see their current Killsight tally.

Strategies for Efficient Killsight Farming

While Killsights can happen naturally during combat, here are some strategies to expedite the process for unlocking all Summer Costumes:

• Focus on Single Characters: Instead of spreading your efforts, pick one character and focus on getting their 30 Killsight Kills before moving to the next. This allows you to learn their specific Killsight timings and attack patterns more effectively.
• Lower Difficulty Settings: Playing on a lower difficulty (e.g., "Cadet") will make enemies easier to defeat, increasing your chances of landing Killsights without being overwhelmed.
• Target Weaker Enemies: Smaller, less resilient enemies are often easier to trigger Killsights on and defeat quickly. Missions with numerous weaker foes are ideal for farming.
• Utilize Abilities: Some character abilities can help set up Killsights or deal burst damage to finish off enemies during a Killsight window. Experiment with each character's kit.
• Repeat Missions: Replaying early missions or specific combat trials can be an effective way to grind Killsights. Look for missions with predictable enemy spawns and manageable difficulty.
• Patience is Key: While 30 Killsights might seem like a small number, it can take some time for all 14 characters. Don't get discouraged if Killsights don't appear immediately; they are somewhat random but more likely when enemies are staggered or at low health.

Once a character reaches 30 Killsight Kills, their Summer Costume will automatically become available. You can then change their outfit from the character customization menu, adding a touch of personal flair to your Class Zero squad.
