Beyond the basics, mastering these advanced combat techniques will elevate your gameplay:
- Kill Sight Chaining: After a successful Break Sight, an enemy may enter a Kill Sight state. If you can quickly defeat them during this window, you'll gain bonus Phantoma and sometimes special drops. With practice, you can chain Kill Sights on multiple enemies.
- Summoning Eidolons: Eidolons are powerful summons that can turn the tide of battle. However, summoning one sacrifices the summoning cadet permanently for the remainder of the mission. Use them strategically in dire situations or against tough bosses.
- Trance & Aura: Some cadets have abilities that grant them 'Trance' or 'Aura' states, significantly boosting their stats or abilities for a short period. Learn when to activate these for maximum impact.
- Status Effects: Don't underestimate the power of status effects. Poison, Freeze, Stun, and Silence can severely cripple enemies. Some cadets, like Deuce or Cater, excel at inflicting these.
