Expert Trials

Expert Trials are challenging optional missions found on the World Map. These trials often feature powerful enemies, unique objectives, and strict time limits. Successfully completing them yields significant rewards, including rare items, powerful equipment, and large amounts of EXP and AP.

• Accessing Trials: Expert Trials appear as red mission markers on the World Map. They are usually unlocked after progressing through certain main story chapters.
• Preparation is Key: Before attempting an Expert Trial, ensure your party is at a high level, equipped with the best gear, and has fully upgraded abilities and magic. Bring plenty of healing items and Ethers.
• Recommended Cadets: The best cadets for a trial depend on the specific enemies. Generally, a balanced party with good damage, support, and crowd control is ideal. Consider bringing characters with strong AoE attacks for trials with many enemies, or single-target damage dealers for boss-like encounters.
• Trial Rewards: Rewards vary but often include high-tier accessories, unique weapons, and large sums of Gil. Some trials also unlock new features or lore entries.

Don't be discouraged if you fail an Expert Trial on your first attempt. Analyze your strategy, adjust your party composition, and try again. They are designed to be difficult and push your skills to the limit.
