Eidolons

Eidolons, also known as summons, are powerful entities that can be called upon in battle to turn the tide against overwhelming odds. However, summoning an Eidolon comes at a significant cost: the life of the character who performs the summon. This sacrifice makes Eidolons a last resort, but their immense power can be invaluable in challenging missions or against formidable bosses.

Summoning Mechanics

To summon an Eidolon, a character must be alive and capable of making the sacrifice. The summoning process is initiated from the battle menu. Once an Eidolon is summoned, the character who summoned it is immediately removed from the active party and cannot be revived for the remainder of that mission. The Eidolon will then fight alongside your remaining party members for a limited time or until its HP is depleted.

  • Sacrifice: The character who summons an Eidolon is permanently removed from the current mission. Choose wisely!
  • Limited Duration: Eidolons remain on the battlefield for a set period. Make the most of their presence.
  • Independent AI: Eidolons are controlled by AI, but their abilities are potent. Focus on supporting them and exploiting enemy weaknesses.

Available Eidolons and Acquisition

There are several powerful Eidolons available in Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, each with unique abilities and attack patterns. While some are available early, others require specific conditions or story progression to unlock.
