  • Offensive Strategy: Have your Black Mage repeatedly cast Fire or 'Firaga'. A Mystic Knight with 'Fire Sword' is also highly effective. Physical attackers should contribute with their strongest attacks.
  • Defensive Strategy: Byblos can cast 'Drain' (absorbs HP) and 'Magic Hammer' (absorbs MP). He can also inflict 'Poison' and 'Silence'.
    • Keep your White Mage ready to cast 'Cure' and 'Poisona'.
    • If your magic users get Silenced, use an 'Echo Screen' item or have another character use 'Remedy'.
