Liquid Flame is a more challenging boss that also changes forms, each with different vulnerabilities. The key here is exploiting its consistent weakness to Ice.
- Forms: Liquid Flame cycles between a human form, a hand form, and a tornado form.
- Human Form: Weak to Ice.
- Hand Form: Weak to physical attacks.
- Tornado Form: Weak to magic attacks.
Despite the varying weaknesses, the most consistent and effective strategy is to relentlessly cast Ice magic. Your Black Mage should be equipped with 'Blizzard' or 'Blizzara' if you have it. If you have a Mystic Knight, 'Ice Sword' is incredibly effective, especially if dual-wielding. Physical attackers should focus on dealing damage when not casting Ice spells.
Liquid Flame can cast 'Fire' and 'Firaga', so ensure your White Mage is constantly healing. If you have any Fire-absorbing equipment (unlikely at this point), equip it. The fight is timed due to the dungeon, so be efficient with your attacks.
